PLANET
Alternative energy, recycling, habitat conservation plans, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), cover crops, organic soil additions, and responsible irrigation management practices all help to combat climate change and protect the environment.

PROSPERITY
You can't have a sustainable business if you can't sustain the business. That's why SIP Certified members must have annual/multi-year budgets, sales and marketing plans, and maintain legible inventory and production records.

PINK PLOVER
As part of our mission to protect the endangered piping plover, Dune Bird Winery donates a portion of every Pink Plover Rosé bottle as well as proceeds from Plover Lover gear to Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes, a dedicated nonprofit working to preserve the dunes and safeguard this iconic species.
With fewer than 80 nesting pairs left in the Great Lakes, every plover needs our help. So far, our community has helped raise over $10,000 toward a $15,000 plus commitment over three years. These funds support more protected nests, educational outreach, and stronger conservation efforts, ensuring more little birds take flight each season.
Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes is a nonprofit organization committed to protecting Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and its wildlife. Through strategic conservation, outreach, and volunteer programs, they preserve fragile habitats for species like the piping plover while maintaining the park for generations to come.
